Bulles de Swing was born from a simple idea: to keep jazz alive without confining it to a particular era.
Built around the violin of Vihuela Deshogues, our repertoire spans nearly a century of music: 1920s swing, jazz standards, Gypsy jazz and French songs, as well as film, video game and popular culture themes reimagined in our own way.
One guest may recognise La Vie en Rose, another Fly Me to the Moon, while someone else may be surprised to hear Harry Potter or Super Mario appear in the middle of a set.
This meeting of elegance, swing and popular culture is what gives Bulles de Swing its musical identity.
For a wedding, cocktail reception, ceremony, private celebration or corporate event, we adapt the repertoire and energy of the music to the occasion: understated when conversation should remain at the forefront, and more dynamic when the celebration takes over.
Based in Caen, Bulles de Swing performs throughout Normandy.
