Meet the Bulles de Swing event musicians who will be performing at your party or wedding, through a short biography.
Vihuela Deshogues, violinist
I am the person who will accompany you in the musical preparation of your event.
I lived in Sydney for 1 year and speak English fluently.
After taking up the violin at the age of five, I practised for fifteen years in the ‘classical style’ before turning to jazz and improvised music. I have some twenty years’ experience in event music.
I also hold a Diplôme d’études musicales (DEM) in jazz and improvised music from the Caen regional conservatoire.
My technical skills enable me to tackle all styles (baroque/classical music, jazz, swing, gypsy jazz, Irish music, traditional Russian music, pop, variety, bossa nova…), my favourite styles being jazz and swing.
I love the diversity of requests and repertoires!
Anthony Marie, guitarist
I was brought up on the Beatles and quickly got into the groovy music (Blues, Funk, Reggae, Rhythm’n’Blues, etc.).
Two years abroad and a series of encounters led to an interest in Latin music, particularly Bossa Nova, which enriched my rhythmic and harmonic playing. I then took part in various projects (Nova, Edo Feeling Band, Simply Soul, etc.).
Then it was my encounter with Vihuela that led me to swing and gypsy jazz, music that I play with unceasing pleasure.
Hugues Letort, double bass player
I’ve been a professional musician for 25 years, starting out on guitar as a teenager, before joining the jazz class at Caen Conservatoire at the age of 23, first on bass, then on double bass.
I went on to play double bass in a number of bands in the Normandy region, in a variety of styles: Muz’ Nouch (French chanson), Bakelite All Stars (ska), Mazarski (gypsy jazz), Afro Lion Sextet (jazz), Play Own Play (jazz), V D (chanson rock), etc.
